Stanley Matthews

Stanley Matthews, Owner


Stanley came to Four Seasons in 1977 as the club’s Director of Tennis. A former Junior World Champion and Great Britain Davis cup star, Stanley retired from the pro tour in 1973 and moved to the United States where he coached, among others, John McEnroe at the famed Port Washington Tennis Academy.  Stanley became Four Seasons sole owner in 1998.

 

Greg Moran

Greg Moran, Director of Tennis.

Greg is the Director of Tennis at Four Seasons and has been with the club since 1981. Greg is certified by the USPTA and USPTR and a member of the Cardio Tennis National Speakers Team. In addition to his on-court activities, Greg is also a member of the National Tennis Writers Association and author of the bestselling book “Tennis Beyond Big Shots.”

 

Glenn Baron

Glenn Baron

Glenn, who has been with Four Seasons since 1999, has coached boys and girls high school tennis in Stamford and Wilton. He was player-captain of the USTA 9.0 mixed doubles team out of Stamford, which finished number one in the section each year that he was involved. Glenn is also Four Seasons Director of video-analysis

 

Gene Chappell

 

Gene Chappell

Gene has worked at Four Seasons since 1992.  He began his teaching career in his home state of Georgia where he was a junior champion and college All-American.  Gene has taught throughout Fairfield County for the past 27 years and was selected as the “Best Tennis Pro in Fairfield County Magazine in 2000.

 

Chris Damone

Chris Damone

Chris, one of the Directors of Four Season’s Elite Juniors program, has been with the club since 1992. Recognized as one of the leading instructors/coaches in the state, Chris is a former USPTA High School Coach of the Year and led the Ridgefield Tigers to an impressive 147-76 win/loss record during his tenure.

 

Rosaly Donofrio

Rosaly, a certified teaching professional for over thirty years, is one of Four Seasons Pee Wee Tennis Directors. Inventor of the famed “Tennis Carnival,” Rosaly ran a hugely successful Pee Wee program in the Danbury area (profiled in the Danbury News Times) before coming to Four Seasons in 2003.

 

Glen Englander

Glen Englander

Glen joined the Four Seasons Pro Staff in 1996 after serving as Tennis Director of Westport’s Tennis Center at Longshore. Glen is also the coach of the perennially successful Wilton High School JV tennis team.  Known affectionately as “Coach,” Glen’s passion for tennis and tennis people is acknowledged far and wide. 

 

Barbara Hatch

Barbara Hatch

Barbara has been a teaching professional in Fairfield County since 1990. Trained at the prestigious Dennis Van der Meer Tennis Academy in South Carolina and John Newcombe's Tennis Academy in Killington, Barbara is known for her pleasant and warm rapport with both juniors and adults.

 

Rob Howard

Rob Howard

Rob, a lifelong resident of Ridgefield, is one of Four Seasons Directors of Elite Juniors.  After becoming a certified teaching pro at the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in the late 1980's Rob returned to Connecticut and become one of the leading teaching professionals in the area. Rob joined the Pro Staff at Four Seasons in 2004.

 

Kelley Moran
Kelley Moran

Kelley, one of the countries top junior players throughout the 70’s, has been with Four Seasons since 1982. Nationally ranked in the top 20 for ten years, Kelley was elected to the Rollins College Sports Hall of Fame in 1999. She enjoys working with players of all ages and abilities and is one of the Directors of Four Seasons very successful Pee Wee Tennis program.

 

Milton Ossorio

Milton Ossorio

Milton has been with Four Seasons since the club opened its doors in 1976. A former ranked competitor on the New England men’s circuit, Milton’s keen eye and analytical approach to the game played a huge role in his success as a player and today, makes him one of Four Seasons most sought after instructors.  

 

Thom Prelli
Thom Prelli

Thom came to Four Seasons in 1987 after enjoying stints at some of the countries top tennis facilities.  Thom has trained under teaching legends such as Dennis van der Meer and Vic Braden. Certified by both the USPTA and the USPTR, Thom has coached several area high schools and USTA teams to winning seasons

Amy Read

Amy, who came to Four Seasons in 2003 was a 3-sport All-State athlete in high school and captained the Colgate University squash team.  As the Girls Varsity Coach for Immaculate High School in Danbury, Amy was named Coach of the Year by the Danbury News-Times. Amy teamed up with Four Seasons colleague Michelle Wright, to form one of the top ranked doubles teams in the country in the Women’s 35 and over division. 

 

Betsy Reid

Betsy Reid

Betsy has been with Four Seasons since 1995.  A late-comer to the game, Betsy began playing tennis as an adult and quickly achieved expertise.  She has captured several local titles and has taught at several clubs in the area. Currently Betsy is the Head Coach of the Ridgefield HS Girls JV tennis team.

 

Ritush Venugopal


One of the areas top teaching, and playing, professionals, Ritush came to Four Seasons in 2006.  A native of India, Ritush was ranked among the countries top 10 men nationally before coming to the United States where he established himself as one of the New England’s most sought after instructors.   Ritush is one of Four Seasons Directors of Elite Juniors as well as the club’s Director of Match Making.

 

Michelle Wright

Michelle, who came to Four Seasons in 2006, was born in America but has lived the majority of her life in Brazil. One of Brazil’s top players, Michelle returned to the states and soon after become New England’s top ranked woman. She has taught locally and regularly teams up with her father to form one of the countries top father/daughter teams.
